I went to Brian and Lindsay Boughton's house tonight at 7:00 to talk and pray for an hour or so. Here are some of the thoughts and ideas that came from that.
The idea of strength. To be able to stand in the midst of chaos. Ps. 1 - like a tree, planted by rivers of water, growing, strong, producing fruit.
Jesus coming into the situation in a big way." What might happen?! Then, the idea of abiding in Christ, minute by minute, John 15:1-7. I abide in Him, His word abides in me. Ask anything and it shall be done! Wow.
Then Brian kept reading vv. 8 thru 11, about love, and joy. The father loves the Son, and we abide in His love. And that leads to our joy being full.
Lindsay sensed, and prayed about, a sense of hopelessness on me, and rightly so. She confessed that Jesus is bigger than this. Amen.
Lindsay: you are the righteousness of Christ, you bring light and love with you wherever you go. Matt. 5:16,
II Cor. 5:17 - we are new creations. Going further, we are righteous in Him.
They also said/prayed that they saw a reawakening of passion in me. And for big things ahead. Amen. May it be so! Greg
